In an op-ed in Expressen, Anders Ygeman raises issues concerning children, schools, and social development. The article contains claims that lack factual basis and risk oversimplifying a complex reality in which children are reduced to political tools.

Bijan Fahimi, CEO of the Tellus Group, has therefore published a response in Expressen. In the response, we address the unfounded claims and clarify why children should not be used to score political points. Children’s daily lives, safety, and education deserve a more responsible and fact-based debate.

As an organization with extensive experience working in early childhood education, schools, and social services, we see on a daily basis the impact that public debate has on our operations, our employees, and families. That is why it is important for Tellusgruppen to speak out when the public perception risks becoming misleading.

Children’s daily lives, well-being, and future are issues that affect us all. They inspire commitment, evoke emotions, and instill a sense of responsibility. That is precisely why it matters how the conversation is conducted and which perspectives are given a voice.
