Students from Linköping Help Inaugurate a New School Cafeteria

On Thursday, April 11, the restaurant and school cafeteria “ Tellusfood ” at Kungsgatan 22 in Linköping will be inaugurated. Among other things, nutritious meals will be served to school students and the general public. During the inauguration, the 9th-grade students from Thea School will also put on a public speaking demonstration and show how to win support for an idea.
“School lunches are about so much more than just food portions; they’re a holistic experience where the environment, dining atmosphere, and friendly service play a major role, combined with a nutritionally balanced menu. The new restaurant is a huge boost for the school, and the students really appreciate it,” says Mimi Svanberg, Operations and Sales Manager at Tellusfood.
The restaurant at Kungsgatan 22 is located right next to the Thea Tellusskolan n Linköping and opened at the start of the 2024 semester. The restaurant serves as a dining hall for students and a lunch restaurant for the general public. The food is prepared on-site by Tellusfood’s own head chef, Marcus Hellberg.
The opening ceremony will feature the Thea School’s food council and the school’s rhetoric students, who will showcase their skills. Also participating will be Bijan Fahimi, CEO of the Tellus Group; Anders Noebe, the school’s principal; and Mimi Svanberg, who is the operations and sales manager for Tellusfood. Executive Chef Marcus Hellberg will discuss his work in serving food that creates a wonderful overall experience for students and other guests.
“We’ll also be serving canapés and dishes prepared fresh from the kitchen. These will be dishes with a twist on our regular menu, including fish burgers served as smørrebrød, mini chicken tacos, and a vegan noodle salad,” says Mimi Svanberg.
