Tellusgruppen Appoints New CEO for Språkservice 24

Tellusgruppen AB has appointed Gabriel Gjerss as CEO of the recently acquired company Språkservice 24. Språkservice 24 is a leading provider of academic tutoring and native language instruction, and the new CEO’s mission will be to manage the business and expand the company’s range of educational services.

“Gabriel Gjerss has played a central role in the development of the Tellus Group’s childcare business and has a proven ability to combine a high level of customer service with the ability to attract and organize dedicated babysitters,” says Bijan Fahimi, CEO of the Tellus Group. “Gabriel Gjerss also demonstrates a high level of financial efficiency and strong leadership skills.” Tellusgruppen ’s current owner and CEO, Nellie Warne, who has sold the company to , will work with Gabriel for a period of time to facilitate the transition.

Tellusgruppen announced the acquisition of Språkservice 24 on April 14. The company complements its sister company, Omniglot , which has been part of the Tellus Group since last fall and offers similar services to both independent schools and municipalities. The companies will collaborate on issues related to workforce development, technical development, and other shared matters, but will retain their status as independent entities.

“The Education Services business area is becoming a rapidly growing segment within the Tellus Group,” says Gabriel Gjerss. “There are exciting opportunities for innovation here as digitization, distance learning, and specialization are being scaled up across the entire education sector, and I look forward to leading parts of this work at Tellusgruppen.”

Gabriel Gjerss will take up his position in August.
