In a new report, researchers at Örebro University note that schools play a key role in combating segregation, but cannot be expected to solve on their own the complex problems that segregation gives rise to.
This is shown by their research, based on a study of the outcomes when the municipality of Örebro decided to transfer middle school students from the Vivalla neighborhood to other schools in the municipality with the aim of counteracting segregation.
